United Way marking 35 years in Martin County |

SCHOOL DISTRICT MAKES
THE GRADE FOR UW
United Way of Martin County
gives high marks to the creative thinking
demonstrated by the campaign leadership in the
Martin County School District.
The district's United Way
campaign raised $49,017 -- a 5.6% increase
over last year.
Special incentives and new
strategies -- such as a “Penny War” among
schools and special recognition lunches --
inspired district employees’ support of United
Way.

COMMUNITY DRIVES FOR
THE GOAL
This is the time of year that
United Way counts on individuals in Martin County
communities to come through and help reach the year’s
campaign goal.
The Yacht & Country Club recently
kicked off its United Way campaign, and community
coordinator Mike Ferrer has put the golf committee to
work to promote increased participation and donations
among residents.
The committee is “Driving for the
Goal,” which is $35,000 at the Yacht & Country Club and
is $2.3 million for the overall United Way of Martin
County campaign. |
