Pillar of Character Awards 2008-09

CHARACTER COUNTS! awarded six exceptional community members with Employee Pillar of Character Awards.

Each year, colleagues and employers nominate unsung heroes of the workplace who exemplify the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.

"CHARACTER COUNTS! established this awards program five years ago for workers who set good examples regularly," CHARACTER COUNTS! Director Holly Laiben said.

"Many employees have strong work ethics and go above and beyond their job description on a daily basis without expecting or receiving adequate recognition. These awards help to fill that void."
